Ever wondered if Singapore has its own Hot Spring? YES WE DO!!
It was discovered in the early 90s and it's situated at Sembawang. Location wise it's slightly tricky as it's between some army camps. Parking wise would be a hassle too as it's a distance from the nearest parking space. Nearest carpark would be at Block 114 (from the map). Nonetheless, I bet anyone visiting there would appreciate the Singapore own Hot Spring water.
It was a lazy afternoon with my family and we do not have any plans for the day. Since it's just nearby my house and we're just rotting away, why not as a family, explore this place since i too have never been to this boiling hot spring.
Since I drove, I parked the car at Block 114. And we walked for about 15min.
Like I've stated, it's in between camps. The alley way just cuts through it. A lil exercise before enjoying the sensation later.
Once we reached the place, there were not many people there despite the time was about 5pm. Suddenly, there was an 'apek' who came to us and pointed to some pails and seats. My siblings eventually grab it and we chose a shady place.
The water is damn hot. So once you fill your pail with the hot spring water, do remember to wait for it to cool slightly before dipping yourself in. It took me like 30mins+ as it's really HOT!
Last but not least, a selfie photo of us :)
If you're in the north and you have no place to go, this would be a great place for a bonding session. And it really is as i'm always busy at work. So, kuddos to this hot spring. Its free too :))
